Going places:

I like to travel to places which are still preserved in their natural splendor with minimal human intervention. Although such places are rare but I like to explore places especially in the Himalayan states. Nothing can be compared to the rush of adrenalin while going through the winding mountain roads on a bike!!

The teacher in me:

On weekends, I teach kids (of all ages) various subjects. The age group varies between 6 to 20 years. So it might be spoken English with one group, mathematics with senior people or computer lab with the programming enthusiasts. I'm also preparing a student to appear in the competitive exam for the Indian Armed forces. These are my best times and I seldom realize how time flies by when I'm taking a class. It's amazing to see the enthusiasm of the students - always ready to learn and explore.

Computers:

I've been crazy about computers since my school days. My interest in graphics started quite recently when I took the Computer Graphics course as a part of my Bachelor's curriculum. I was entranced by the visual effects that could be achieved. The lovely animation sequences made me long for an opportunity to make my own animations. I consider it to be wonderful way of expressing the child within each one us..

My interest in HCI developed while teaching the kids. I had to find methods to make them remember things easily and I found that the visual method was the best. Things introduced to the kids via computers or with visual supplements made a deeper impact on the minds of the kids as compared to normal modes of teaching.

Movie time:

I love to watch science fiction and movies based on real stories. The best I've seen so far was 'A Beautiful Mind'. Must see for everyone. Tom Hanks and Russell Crowe are my favourite actors.

Book worm:

I like to read all sorts of books - science fictions, autobiographies, Know-how's, Spiritual texts, etc.

I am a fan of National Geographic and recently bought a compilation of their best photos and adventures. It's an awesome book..

Handwriting analysis also interests me and I'm teaching myself to interpret handwriting from a book. Hope to learn it soon..
