It all started towards the beginning of 2006. A couple of people together with CRY's support started a Community Action Group near a Harijan Basti [it's popularly known by this name but its official name is Ambedkar Vihar (AV) ]. The aim is to make the middle and upper class people living around this area aware of the conditions of these underprivileged section and turn them into volunteers working for their upliftment. The ultimate goal is to develop this into a self-sustained system which would not collapse if volunteers move to different projects. Vidya n Child was already working in that area looking into the education and overall development of the children so we were more than happy to merge with them.



I teach kids ranging from 1st standard to 12th standard on the weekends. Generally the subjects vary from Science and Maths. I really enjoy spending time with the kids.
